BLOOD IS THE LIFE OF THE FLESH The Bible states:

“For as for the life of all flesh, its blood is identified with its life…”– ( Leviticus 17:14)

Blood transfusion is the process of transferring blood or blood products into one’s circulation intravenously. Transfusions are used for various medical conditions to replace lost components of the blood. Early transfusions used whole blood, but modern medical practice commonly uses only components of the blood, such as red blood cells, white blood cells, plasma, clotting factors, and platelets. Here are the reasons that a patient may undergo a blood transfusion: Most patients who have a major surgical procedure will have a blood transfusion to replace any blood loss during their surgery Blood transfusions are used for patients who have experienced serious injuries from car crashes or natural disasters. Individuals with an illness that causes anemia, such as leukemia or kidney disease, will often be the recipients of blood transfusions.
